I'm back!.... We'll see if it sticks ;)

So it is now October 2010. Yes I know it's been awhile. Sorry about that. Well now, Casey and I have a baby! Yep Kylie Nicole was born on the 4th of July. She's probably gonna be a little firecracker just like her birthday. The past few months with her have been a roller coaster. Many ups and downs, but we're here all in one piece and couldn't be any happier. I'll try to start from the beginning and see how it goes.

Kylie was born at Mansfield Methodist Hospital on July 4th at 6:56pm. Just before the fireworks began... really they were waiting for Kylie to be born. She weighed 8 pounds 5 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. She had hair and some chunker legs already. Her head was a little misshapen (sp?), but it rounded out pretty quickly. Here is a picture of her in the hospital.

We came home a few days later and she slept most of the time... not the case anymore! We had lots of visitors in the hospital and at home. It was so nice to see everyone and have their support. Our church planned meals for us for a week once we got home. That was so nice. We lived off of that food and leftovers for awhile after she was born.

Kylie grew pretty quickly. Before we knew it, she was already 12 pounds! Here are a couple of pictures of her first 2 months.

On her 2 month birthday, we had to take Kylie to the hospital for a fever of 101.7. Very high for her age. Long story short, she was admitted with a Urinary Tract Infection. Poor baby was poked and prodded for days. She took lots of antibiotics and was completely over it 2 weeks later.

So Kylie is now 3 months old.... and that will have to wait until the next post. Kylie woke up from her morning nap and is very ancy. This one handed typing can only last so long. :)
