All In a Day!

Kylie has 'wow'ed us. All in one day she has started drinking water from a sippy cup, picked up her own cherrio and put it in her mouth, and has finally started army crawling!! She is SO close to real crawling.

Some background...
Kylie is not really bottle fed. She has only had a bottle when I have subbed which has not been very often. So getting her to suck on a sippy cup AND with water inside was difficult. I just decided to try a new one on Monday out of the blue and she first bit it (of course, she bites everything!) and then started sucking. She has now had some water each day since!

The Nuby Easy Grip sippy... it has a really squishy, bitable spout!

Kylie had a reaction to oats the first time we tried it, so cherrios were out of the question until apparently one years old. We were feeding her a few rice krispies to get her used to the texture of a real solid food since she couldn't eat cherrios or puffs or any of the baby food made for first finger eating. The rice krispies were hard for her to pick up because they were so small, so Casey decided to have her practice by picking up cherrios. He fed her one of the yellow corn ones and right away she picked up another one and ate it. We have no clue what kind of grain it was, but she didn't have any reactions that we know of! Trying wheat today.. please please don't have any reactions!!

Kylie woke up Monday and decided that she could army crawl. She did it a few times a few months ago, but it didn't stick. I guess she finally got tired of me not getting her or not being able to get the toy that she really wanted. She will now do it all day, everyday. She was especially excited to get the to the mail that I was sorting on the ground yesterday.
