Kylie is TWO!

Kylie is two. It was almost as if we were in the hospital having her and then skipped through time 2 years to her 2nd birthday party. She is so big and our hearts are so full with love for her. I don't have a ton of time to write about everything that I want to write about, but I'll try to at least make it make sense. :) (A little tired these days....)

June 30th Birthday Party
We had Kylie's party the weekend before her birthday because we THOUGHT baby sister would come early and we didn't want to risk not having Kylie's special day. Here is her party in pictures...

Kylie is so blessed. Her whole family came over to celebrate and we had a great time! She definitely did not want it to end.

So Kylie is two years old. She is tall, very tall. At her doctor's appointment she was in the 95th percentile and the nurse wanted us to measure her again because she thought it was wrong the first time. But, no, she just grew that much. She is still in the 25th or so percentile for weight. That is just how she is, tall and skinny. Her hair is getting curlier and she is now starting to love to pick out her own bows and hair dealies by herself. They don't always match, but she likes it. We put an old mirror in her closet and after she gets dressed, she runs over to 'see' herself. She giggles and it is the cutest thing.

All of her teeth have come in. That is ALL of them. Her two year molars are through and we are done with teething for this child! The time has FINALLY come! :) On that note, Kylie loves to brush her own teeth now. We still have to do it after, but she stands up on the counter super close to the mirror and watches herself. She is becoming more and more independent. This is good and bad. She wants to do everything by 'self' or 'me' as she would say. She is not as susceptible to ask or receive help anymore. Makes for some frustrating parental moments, but it's all completely normal for a 2 year old, we try to tell ourselves..

Kylie is in size 5 diapers (which now seem extremely huge since having the baby..) and 2T clothes. Shoes size 6 or 7. It's hard to tell because she is mostly not wearing shoes or wears sandals, which fit differently. She sleeps generally from 9pm to 9 am, and naps from 2 to 4 (or somewhere around there). She loves her schedule and is a much happier toddler if we stick to it.
