Christmas 2011 Festivities!!

Christmas came and went. So very quickly. Kylie seems so grown up and it was so awesome to see this year's Christmas through her eyes. She will be 18 months old tomorrow, but I will have to save all that stuff for another post. We have such a large wonderful family. We are so blessed and Kylie is SO loved. (Sorry peeps, there's going to be a lot of pictures..)

We started our Christmases off with our annual 'best friends' Christmas, now with lots of kids!

All the kids are looking! Us parents look pretty good too!

Kid's craft. They made Christmas Trees out of waffle cones!

Kylie decorating her tree. She was incredibly clean afterwards.

Here's our family Christmas photo. We waited until the last minute to make and send Christmas cards, but Kylie cooperated and we ended up getting a great picture in front of our tree!

Bedtime stories by the light of the tree...

This was how we shared the news of baby #2 to our family!
First Family Christmas: The Davis' on Christmas Eve

Kylie had a great time opening presents at Casey's dad's house. Her favorite present of all was her new red wagon! She threw a little fit when I took her out of it because it was time to eat dinner. While I carried her to the kitchen, Daddy and Grandaddy quickly put it in the car outside. Kylie loved the dinner and could not get enough of the lasagna and garlic bread! Here are a couple of pictures from this Christmas.
Kylie's load!

Pretty girl opening her first present.

She LOVED her ladybug rain boots! They are heavy and it took a little getting used to, but she didn't want to take them off.

Red Wagon! Plays with/in it every day!

Walked around most of the night just like this, lol.

Second Christmas: About 5 minutes worth of our tiny family Christmas!
We had to get Kylie up, bathed, dressed, (us ready too), the car loaded for our trip to Austin, load presents for 2 separate Christmases, and be out of the house by 9:30. Eek! That didn't leave much room for our own Christmas this year. It was fine though. We opened our stockings and Kylie got to open presents from my families from Pennsylvania and Connecticut. Yes we did leave all of the presents, stockings, and torn wrapping paper all over the floor for us to come home to later that week. Nice. Here are some random pics from this tiny Christmas.

Third Christmas: Memaw and Papaw's house (Casey's mom's side) for Christmas Brunch
Like I said above, we left the house a little after 9:30 and made it just in time for the delicious brunch. I mean seriously, I live for breakfast/brunch food. So good, egg/sausage casserole, biscuits and chocolate (yes chocolate), potato casserole, sliced ham (Kylie's favorite), as well as fruit. Kylie could not get enough of the strawberries. I think they are her favorite fruit right now. There were a lot of other things that I just can't think of right now.

Anyways, Kylie was a little shy as she normally is, but she got better when her cousins were around her. Her 'thing' of the day was sitting on presents. She would sit on the other kid's presents, but not her own. Hilarious! She got some fun toys and some super cute clothes at this Christmas.

New toy car from Memaw and Papaw

She really wanted to sit over by the other kids, but there wasn't a lot of room. She just plopped right in the middle. :)

Sitting on someone elses now open present.

Fourth Family Christmas: This one comes in parts. Lol.
We left Casey's grandparents house around lunch time in hopes of making it to my parent's house early. We wanted to surprise them with the Baby #2 news before heading off to my Aunt's house for dinner. This Christmas was a little more emotional than past Christmases, for reasons some of you know, others probably not.., that we wanted to make it special for my parents. So we rushed, and rushed down to Austin. Since Kylie has been born, we have never made it down to Austin without stopping. Oh Yeah, WE DID IT!

We had some ham, strawberries, and biscuit from breakfast that I fed to Kylie in the car, so we didn't have to stop. She actually napped like we needed her to, for a good part of the way and then feeding her lunch sufficed until my parent's house. The last 45 minutes for so, she was cranky. She wanted out of her car seat sooo bad. We sang songs and acted silly trying to make it and we did. We are definitely proud of ourselves.

After the big sister news, Kylie played for a little bit. MUCH needed break.

Yes she is in the dog crate with Zorro. Pretty normal occurance this Christmas! Lol.

Uncle Andrew and Aunt Sarah!
Kylie was covered in dog hair (she could not get enough of the dogs or the dog crate), so we quickly changed her bottoms and headed to my Aunt's house. Aunt Sarah came in our car and read books to Kylie. Kylie wouldn't let her stop. SO funny.

Part 2: The Hyman's House
We shared the news of baby #2 as soon as we got there and Chelsie was so good and captured the moment on camera! This is the only picture we have of any of the surprises. Such a great pic!

Kylie has no idea why everyone keeps reading her shirt!

We enjoyed some delicious food! Sarah and I ate pretty much the whole bowl of guacamole, sorry family! Kylie even sat down at the table. We forgot to grab her booster seat from my parent's house, so she sat in a BIG kid chair with a pillow. She did great. She impressed everyone with her eating with utensils skills. (She was sick at Thanksgiving, so wasn't a fan of eating then...) And we had a ton of desserts as always. It's kind of a Kramer/Hymans tradition. The dessert table is almost more important than the rest of the meal. Oh and Kylie loves gingerbread men. All of those stong flavors, who would have thought!

Yummy Dinner!

First present and the most hilarious reaction! Notice she's sitting on another present..

She immediately brought this present to Aunt Sarah to open.

Don't worry, I've just got a phone call, I can multitask!

Uncle Andrew had a call.

Kylie handed out medicine to everyone, including the dog. Haha.

Part 3: Monday Morning Kramer Christmas
Kylie was exhausted and it finally hit her. That night she wasn't very happy. She was such a daddy's girl and HAD to sleep on him the entire night. Poor daddy. She woke up pretty early, and cranky. We fed her breakfast and then started opening our stockings and presents.

All of those huge presents to the right, yep you guessed it, Kylies..

Next year.. we will need another one!!

Kylie was fussy and tired, so we pretty much let her lead the way. She mostly wanted to push the shopping cart around, while the rest of us wanted to see her open the rest of her gifts. We eased her into it. We finally got her to sit on her new stool and open some presents.

Only from my family would she get a sweet vintage car! Loves it!

We got Kylie down for a nap after a yummy fajita lunch. Then the adults put on their game faces and dove in to a gingerbread house making contest. We have never done this before and it was a blast. Everyone had their own ideas and they turned out great. Kylie woke up towards the end and 'helped' daddy finish his by eating some of the candy off of his house. She was a mess after this.

Casey thought he was so cool with the construction of his...

Finished products, we voted and Dad's won. His was completely landscaped.. lol.

Giving Gracie some love.

Talking with Zorro about what they see outside.

High School Girlfriends dinner get-together was Monday night. We went over to my friend Cari's house. She took a cat nap on the way there and we were hopeful that she would have a good night. We thought Kylie was fussy in the morning, try again. Wow, she was so done. At least we got to see my friends and their families. Here are a couple of pictures from that night.

We spent the next day with my family and decided to leave Tuesday night. We figured it would be good to get her home to hopefully get back to her normal self. She was able to spend some quality time with my parents which was well worth the trip. It was a hard goodbye, not like we won't see them soon, but still hard.

Kylie, Grandma, and Grandpa

Kylie's taller than Stella!

Saying bye bye to Grandpa

One exhausted girl.

We were barely to the highway and Kylie was out. We kept going further and further until we finally had to wake her up in Hillsboro so we could eat dinner. We made it home perfectly fine. You couldn't fit one more ounce of anything in the car, but we made it. We put Kylie to bed and then unloaded the jigsaw puzzle that was the packing of our car. I will leave you with our pile of Christmas presents, mind you all of those bags and boxes have lots more presents in them. Eek, yes we are loved and so blessed.

We had an amazing Christmas and we hope everyone else did as well! Thank you to our family and friends for such a great Christmas. Love to you all!
